After feeling so blown away by the magic and transformations that took place during and after our 2019 event, we immediately knew it was time for another one. Get ready for 4 magical days of intimate connection, mind shifting workshops, powerful meditation, soothing yoga, and gathering around the table with 22 inspiring female business owners in cozy, quaint Quebec City, Canada.


 

As an online business owner, it’s easy to get caught up in the everyday hustle: checking items off your to do list, mindlessly scrolling on Instagram, and feeling disconnected from the outside world.

That’s why we created the Back Into Balance business retreat. This retreat is designed to help you take a step (or three) away from noisey online world in order to tune back into yourself. It’s time to center back into what you really want and reignite the passion you had when you first started your business.

This is a business retreat like we’ve never seen before. Our focus is on creating a space of renewal. You will walk away from this 4-day event feeling rejuvenated, changed, connected, and confident living out *your* unique version of balance.

This is a vacation that you won’t need a vacation from as soon as you get home.


 
 
 

What you can expect —

We will be exploring ways to connect more deeply to ourselves, each other and our businesses.

There will be a mix of life and business focused workshops and activities offered… Think business workshops, meditations, creativity sessions and transformational coaching.

Who we Are — 

Danielle is the more introverted energy of this duo, while Devan is the extroverted party.

Meaning, there will be perfect balance of exploring, soul chats, and together time as well as alone time to process, get introspective, or take a nap!


 

About Danielle:

Danielle is an artist, maker, designer, yogi + the business owner over at Function Creative Co. She’s keen on finding the balance between beautiful and functional in all aspects of life and business.

Over the past 5 years as an entrepreneur, Danielle has helped over 240 business owners put their best foot forward when it comes to their business strategy, brand design and website. You can count on her for all things planning, organizing and connecting to your core creative self.

Danielle’s version of a perfect day is waking up to a slow morning routine, where she can make some coffee with her very own pottery-made pour-overs, paint with no expectation of a masterpiece, check-in with her to-dos and flow through the work day with ease and flexibility. It also includes lots of snuggles with her fur-baby Bruce (her chihuahua), and spending time with her husband and their families.

 

About Devan:

 

Devan is a business mindset coach on a mission to help female business owners see their inherent power and scale their business to the next level of impact and income.

You can expect her to lovingly call you out on limiting beliefs and old stories that aren’t serving your highest truth. Since starting her business in 2014, Devan has successfully pivoted her business niche, grown a community of loyal newsletter followers, launched countless passive income projects, and empowered her clients to step into their highest self and run their business with more flow and ease.

Devan’s version of a perfect day is sipping a chai latte and journaling her heart out, exploring a new city with her husband (Taylor), walking along the water with her golden pup (Dave), dancing with the girls (mojito in hand), and trying to convince anyone who will listen to follow their passion!

 
 
 

Our Biz Bestie Story — 

Devan and Danielle met where all business bestie relationships start… double tapping eachother's photos on Instagram.

They knew they were meant to be BBFs (business besties forever) after their first face-to-face meeting over Skype went well over the hour they planned. That initial meeting quickly turned into weekly accountability chats where they would talk all things from planning to design to money to cycle syncing.

 

After more than a year of weekly chats, the idea for the Back Into Balance business retreat was born.

We know how it feels to be burnt out from client work, desiring connection, and just overall wanting to shut out the noise and gather with a few people who get it.

After attending several in-person conferences, workshops, and retreats, Danielle and Devan knew it was time to create their own event experience… one that combined their passion for business and creativity.

 
 
 

The Retreat Details — 

Your experience at Back Into Balance includes:

You take care of travel and accommodations, and we’ve got the rest covered! We will also be there to help facilitate the process of finding roommates and places to stay nearby if you choose.

The event will take place in beautiful and quaint downtown Quebec City, Canada.

 
 
 

Retreat Schedule — 

As the name suggests, we are looking to provide you with a balanced, safe experience.

The itinerary and workshop topics will be released in full detail in 2020! In the meantime, here’s an example of what you can expect an event day to look like:


Event Day Example

  • 9am — breakfast / coffee

  • 9:30am — yoga / meditation

  • 10am — workshop

  • 12pm — lunch / exploring

  • 3pm — workshop

  • 5pm — downtime / activities (optional)

  • 6:30pm — dinner + chats


There are optional sessions mixed in throughout the day so you can choose to participate or take time for yourself to do what feels best for you.

We are your guides, mentors, and facilitators. We promise to show up for you and provide you with the best possible experience. We will create a space where you can tune inwards and allow yourself to find balance while also ensuring you never feel awkward wondering who you’re going to get lunch with. We aim to provide you with an encouraging, intimate, supportive space for deep, lasting connections to be made.

+ How will I know where to stay and find roommates?

We will help facilitate this within the group once you book your spot and provide suggestions of places to stay.

+ What do I need to bring with me?

We have you covered with a detailed itinerary, map, and packing guide as it gets closer to the event.

+ What airport will I need to fly into and how far is it from there?

You can fly directly into Quebec City's International Airport and take an Uber or a taxi to your accommodations. The other option is to fly into the Montreal International Airport and take a train or another form of transit from there into Quebec City (roughly ~3-4 hours). + I have a dietary restriction. Will you accommodate food/meals?

Please let us know about any dietary restrictions as soon as possible after booking your spot! This will ensure we have time to properly plan and prepare alternative meal options before the retreat.

+ What type of business owners can I expect to attend?

You can expect open-minded, heart-centered, determined female entrepreneurs and creative business owners who are looking to tune in within a safe space, have deeper conversations around balancing business and life, and have fun while enjoying a new experience.

+ What if I sign up and can’t make it last minute?

If something comes up and you can no longer attend, you will be responsible for transferring your spot at the retreat with someone else who desires to come. We will do what we can to help you find someone and link you up with anyone who might be on the waitlist!
